cheryl1Cheryl Vincent-Riemer, O.D., F.A.A.O 
Dr. Vincent-Riemer received her bachelor’s and Doctor of Optometry degrees from Ferris State University and has been practicing in East Lansing since 1986. Decades of successful work in contact lenses and children’s vision has brought her the respect of patients and professionals alike. She specializes in bifocal and hard-to-fit contact lenses. Additionally, she serves as a Clinical Investigator for several ophthalmic laboratories. She has previously been awarded the Michigan Optometric Association’s Key Person of the Year. Soon after, she was given the mark of distinction as Wessley Jessen’s “Optometrist of the 90s.” As a current member and past trustee of the Michigan Optometric Association who has worked diligently to promote public policy beneficial to patients, Dr. Vincent-Riemer has been active on their Contact Lens Committee for 27 years. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
sarah1Sarah N. Knapp, O.D., F.A.A.O
Dr. Knapp is a graduate of Michigan State University and The Ohio Sate University College of Optometry. She has served patients in the East Lansing area since 1997. Years of exemplary patient care has established her a reputation for providing unparalleled treatment to children and their families. Along with clinical private practices, her experience extends into contact lens research, serving as Clinical Investigator in multiple contact lens and solution studies. Her professional concentrations include patient education and specialty eyewear lenses such as occupational, anti-fatigue, digital, and sports lenses. She has been the recipient of the Michigan Optometric Association’s Key Person of the Year award. Dr. Knapp is a member of the Michigan Optometric Association, the Optometric Nutrition Society, and the American Optometric Association and its Contact Lens Committee. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

cheryl1Colleen J. Gould, O.D.
Dr. Gould received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from Michigan State University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. After graduating with honors, Dr. Gould completed her residency training at TLC Eyecare & Laser Centers in Jackson, MI. During this additional year of training, her focus included the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, primary care optometry, and the management of postoperative care for cataract surgery and LASIK/refractive surgery. Since joining the VisionCare team in 2014, she has developed a passion for fitting specialty contact lenses for the management of keratoconus, dry eye, post refractive surgery, and other corneal irregularities. These lenses include scleral contact lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses, as well as specialty soft contact lenses and corneal reshaping therapeutic lenses (orthokeratology) for the treatment of myopia. Dr. Gould is a member of the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

cheryl1Andrew White, O.D.
Dr. White received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University and has been with VisionCare since 2015. He performs routine comprehensive vision exams as well as medical exams to treat ocular diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. He also treats common eye disorders such as dry eye, styes, pink eye, corneal abrasions and conjunctivitis. Contact lenses are also one of his specialties. He can fit soft and hard contact lenses, including those that correct for astigmatism, as well as customized contact lenses for patients with corneal diseases such as keratoconus. Dr. White is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Michigan Optometric Association.

cheryl1Douglas E. Widmer, O.D., MS
Dr. Widmer is a graduate of The Ohio State University for both his undergraduate and optometry degrees and began practicing optometry in 2011. After over two years of practice in the South Bend, IN area, he returned to The Ohio State College of Optometry to complete a two-year fellowship program in binocular vision and pediatrics. While there, he aided in the laboratory and clinical instruction of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year optometry students as well as completed a masters thesis project that concentrated on a common binocular vision disorder, convergence insufficiency (CI), in young adults. He has served as a masked examiner for a current clinical trial involving children and CI. He is currently a member of the American Optometric Association.
